(My final assignment - the Nature of Photography AAU class)
My concept is to show a moody landscape of trees. I will be shooting in color using medium format 120-color film and a Holga camera. I will use a Holga camera because the lens is made in such a way that it allows for vignettes, blurs, light leaks, and distortions. These effects will enhance the moody feeling of the images and make them more like paintings. My pictures will be in a pictorial style. The images are going to be like a painting in order to evoke the mood and emotion of a tree, the subject, reacting with the environment. The final images will have intense and strong colors as if they were from fairy tale scenes.
My images will attempt to evoke feelings expressed through the trees: sadness, loneliness, longing, happiness, peace, anger, and confusion. I shoot the trees as subjects because, although the trees cannot move, the trees are living creatures. Trees can’t have emotions, however, they can evoke emotions in us with their unique and mysterious shapes. I will shoot the different trees from different vantage points using the principles of design to enhance the moods I want to suggest.

This final concept, I wrote before shooting this project. I think it's a good way that we should think the concept first before to shoot photo.
